Type IIA
(9 mm; .40 S&W)

This type of armour protects against 9mm Full Metal Jacketed Round Nose (FMJ RN) rounds from 9x19mm Parabellum cartridges (weight 8.0 g, velocity 341 m/s) and against .40 S&W calibre Full Metal Jacketed (FMJ) rounds (weight 11.7 g, velocity 322 m/s). This type of armour also protects against the same bullets as Type I

Type II
(9 mm; .357 Magnum)

This type of armour protects against 9mm Full Metal Jacketed Round Nose (FMJ RN) rounds from 9x19mm Parabellum P+ cartridges (weight 8.0 g, velocity 367 m/s) and against 357 Magnum Jacketed Soft Point (JSP) rounds (weight 10.2 g, velocity 436 m/s). This type of armor also protects against these projectiles as Type I and IIA.

Type IIIA
(9 mm high velocity bullets; .44 Magnum)

This type of armour protects against 9mm Full Metal Jacketed Round Nose (FMJ RN) rounds from 9x19mm Parabellum +P++ cartridges (weight 8.0 g, velocity 436 m/s) and against .44 Magnum Semi Jacketed Hollow Point (SJHP) rounds (weight 15.6 g, velocity 436 m/s). This type of armor also protects against these projectiles as Type I, IIA and II.

Type IV
(Anti-tank rifle bullets)

This type of armour protects against 7.62 mm Full Metal Jacketed (FMJ) armour-piercing rounds from 7.62x51 mm NATO cartridges, equivalent to 308 Winchester (weight 10.8 g, velocity 878 m/s) and lower velocity rounds e.g. from 7.62×39 mm cartridges fired from AK and similar. Armor of this type also protects at least against single shot bullets, against which Type I, IIA, II, IIIA and III armor protects.
